Weekend Happenings

I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a busy, but fun one!

Our weekend started out with one of the best quiches I've ever made - if you know me at all, then you know I'm not the best of cooks! It was a last minute quiche (a.k.a. nothing else to eat for breakfast), so I was pretty damn proud of myself for making something so tasty. I spent the rest of Saturday morning drinking coffee and cleaning up around the house, which was much needed after all the freaking rain we've been getting, and making a big pile of things to get rid of for the community-wide garage sale coming up in a few weeks.

Saturday night was spent with friends drinking lots of good wine (we love a good wine party). The hostess did such an amazing job decorating for the party, and the hors d'oeuvres were so on point! We brought a caprese dip, which was ridiculously easy to make: Cubed mozzarella, sliced cherry tomatoes, pesto, and some spinach popped in the oven (475 degrees) for 10 to 15 minutes until bubbly and melty, serve with flatbread crackers.

Sunday morning we had the most perfect weather, so we took a little family outing to the local arboretum and botanic gardens. Our little outdoorsy babe loved it! After lunch, though, we got this sporadic crazy thunderstorm with pea-sized hail... which ended up being the perfect weather for naps and cuddles indoors. :)

Now it's Monday, again (it never fails). We woke up to breezy, gorgeous weather, which helps make this Monday a little easier, especially since I got peed on bright & early this morning (thanks, baby B).

Have the best week!
